Get Your People Praying!

"Get your people praying!" This is what my literary agent just sent me in an email. She has sent my book proposal out to prospective publishers for "Rescue the Children," which tackles the urgent issues of child trafficking and online sexual exploitation. Focus on the Family responded positively to my proposal and has expressed interest.

Everyone said that due to the size of my platform and my social media being deactivated, I would never get an agent, let alone a publisher. But miracles do happen. Now, more than ever, I need your prayers. Please join me in praying that, if it is God’s will, Focus on the Family will say yes. The children are depending on it.

As a school photographer, an activist for child safety, and an advocate for OSEC survivors, I have heard countless heart-wrenching stories of trafficking and online sexual exploitation of children (OSEC) within our schools and community. The prevalence of such dangers, often hidden within the very technology meant to empower our children, is alarming.

Imagine the horror of discovering your child has been targeted by predators through their favorite online games or social media platforms. Reports of an 11-year-old trafficked on Minecraft or teens exploited by trusted school officials underscore the urgent need for awareness and action. The digital age has made it easier than ever for predators to exploit children, creating a global menace that thrives even in our local communities.

Making matters worse is a severe lack of awareness. Many parents, educators, and community members assume this crisis is happening “over there” in some foreign land, when in reality it’s happening right here in our own neighborhoods and schools. This lack of understanding allows exploitation to continue unchecked, leaving our children vulnerable. Without widespread recognition of the signs and dangers of online exploitation, predators operate more freely and perpetuate their abuse within our communities.

Every day, millions of children endure the horrors of online sexual exploitation, but there is hope. My book "Rescue the Children" brings these stories to light, offering not only awareness but actionable steps to protect our children.
